Core / Cell cultures

In agreement with the requirements of the postgenomics the establishment of a Cell Culture Core within MMC equipped for basic cell biology studies as well as for EBV transformation and maintaining of stable cell cultures is on the way. The Cell Culture upgrade of MMC will allow the research groups of MMC and our external collaborators to apply cell biology approaches and functional genomic studies for elucidating the mechanisms of inherited disorders. At the same time the facility will assist the enlargement and diversity of our biobank collection, through inclusion of cell and tissue cultures.

Equipment:

All necessary equipment has been supplied according to the requirements for class II facility including 2 seats laminar flow cabinet, CO2 cell culture incubator, Leica inverted and fluorescent microscopes.
